Born in Ottawa, Ontario at the now-closed Grace hospital to not one, but two librarians. Grew up in a quiet neighborhood, played outside, biked to school and spent allowance money on the usual (candy and trading cards). Did not play video games a lot, but instead spent hours with legos. Delivered newspapers (The Ottawa Citizen) for three years before reorganization of delivery routes made it impossible for even two willing 16 yr olds to do a job which should still belong to the young. Graduated from high school, but did not attend the graduation ceremony. Left Ottawa for the more rural setting of Lindsay, Ontario for college. Spent 3 years there before moving to an even more rural setting in Haliburton, Ontario. Graduated with 3 diplomas from SSFC. Is recognized by the Dean and President at official functions. Roughly at the same time began work as a fire ranger in Dryden, Ontario. Has spent every summer since wiping snot and tears from his face while choking on wood smoke across the forests of Canada. Still enjoys sleeping in a tent despite the deafening sound of rabid mosquitoes. Enrolled at Lakehead and graduated head of his class and with Honours. Has since moved on to the Nordic countries of Europe in search his place in the world and of a Master degree. This is where we catch up with him, deep in the forests (*not as wild as Canada) of Finland and Sweden. Yesterday he counted moose poo, tomorrow is anyone's guess.
