Year - 1982.
My first (and possibly last) appearance on a televished program. I won the chance to host a TVO special for Arbour day by a mail in ballet contest.
The event was filmed at the Norfolk county Forest Conservatory.
Trouble started right away. The producers were irrate that due to religious beliefs I would not allow my head to be filmed, so that the only part of my body that could be in frame was my neck down. They did not want an hour TV special to feature a headless host, so 15 minutes in I broke down and allowed my head to be filmed, but only because I put a pillow case over my head.
The further trouble began when we began talking about apple orchards and some farmer had brought hard apple cider. I gorged on the cider until quite inebriated on camera. Then I became violent...then other events occurred which I am legally prohibed from mentioning.
The live camera feed for the show ceased 37 minutes in. I was found 2 days later 5 concessions over in a ditch.
