I'm just an ordinary gal living an extraordinarilary mundane bucolic life in rural NB. Somebody send a search party and take me back to Toronto, please?
I have two awesome music-loving kids and I'm raising them on a steady diet of Canadian indie music. They even have their own R3 profiles: I've linked them here and here so you can check out what good taste they have so far. One of my secretly proudest indie-mom moments was when my daughter told me that she'd gotten a timeout at summercamp after starting an argument in defence of independent rock music over "that Miley Cyrus crap". Hey, I was a youth in the 80's. Nobody should have to listen to overpackaged commercial fodder like that.
I feel like I should also tell you I'm a Rubik's cube geek. While fighting the swine flu this fall, I managed to shave 20 seconds off my Rubik's cube average. I also have a 4x4 cube which takes me much longer to solve, like 20 minutes. And I have a Spongebob Squarepants cube from a vending machine.
Also I collect kaleidoscopes. And heart-shaped rocks.
And CBC Radio 3 makes me feel alright when it matters and when it doesn't.
