With the Grammys Red Carpet parade still in progress, the Electronic / Dance categories are a wrap for another year. Canada had two horses in this race, Deadmau5 for Best Dance Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Album, and Best Remix Recording, Non-Classical. He lost. Same goes for Duck Sauce (Montreal's A-Trak), who was up for Best Dance Recording.
The big winner of the evening was Dub Step's champion, Skrillex, aka Sonny John Moore, who walked off with all three. Moore started out his career back in 2004 as lead singer of American post-hardcore band From First to Last, but it wasn't until he started producing and performing under his Skrillex alias, that he found a huge new audience in the Dubstep scene.
