Patches of Blue

I'm just about finished the recording end of my new release, Patches of Blue. Mixing is pretty well finished and we're on to mastering the songs. Michael J. Birthelmer has done an outstanding job recording me and I've had a stellar cast of musicians in the studio with me, including Bill Dillon, Ed Roth, Kevin Christoff from Simply Saucer and session singer extraordinaire, Colinna Phillips. It's been quite a trip, taken longer than I ever thought but worth the time and effort.

New Edgar Solo release, "The Shadows of Ecstasy" available now!

Anthology Recordings , a US -based on-line merchant, has just released The Shadows Of Ecstasy, the "lost" solo recording of Simply Saucer's Edgar Breau .
Recorded between 1989 and 1991 at Grant Avenue Studios in Hamilton , parts of this recording were re-worked for Edgar 's solo release  Canadian Primitive in 2004.  This recording, though, has a completely different feel.

Edgar plans to continue his two- track career, recording and performing both with the re-formed version of Simply Saucer. and as a solo artist.  Here is a pleasant chat with Steve Krakow of Plastic Crime Wave:

Edger Breau R.I.P April 3rd 2007

We'd like to thank all of those people who offered their condolences when Edgar's father recently passed away.
Edgar's dad passed away on April 3, at the age of 89.
"Mad River" is a song about Edger Sr., written from his father's point of view. Ed's father originally hailed from Chatham, New Brunswick. The Breaus are an Acadian family, having lived in the New brunswick area for more than 400 years!
