I apologize if the name's misleading. I'm not from Taiwan, I immigrated to Canada by way of Taiwan, but I'm originally from Muncie, Indiana, USA. The name came about when I started more seriously recording and putting my music on the Internet in 2003, when I was living in Taiwan...I was searching for a name that would be fairly unique in Google searches, since my name is far too common to move up the ladder the old-fashioned way. I love living in Canada, and I'm so glad they took me in. Life here is a bit of an adjustment, but mostly after almost 9 years in Asia. My partner and I are settling near his home in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, and I love it here, though sadly I'm too sarcastic for it to come out in my music.I've been singing and writing songs for almost 20 years. Mostly my songs have been recorded by me and the friends that make up whatever band I'm in. But in the past few years, I've done more of my own home recording, playing all the tracks myself. My songs are about life and living...There are songs about living in the city, simple love songs, and songs that probably only make sense to me. Because I've been writing for a long time, and some stuff has been recorded here and there over the last 15 years or so, I'll just upload whatever's handy and describe it if I can.
As a history major and museum employee, I've begun a project of writing songs about the sites that make up the Nova Scotia Museum. So far I'm only 2 songs in, but I might work on more of them this winter. And if CBC Radio comes knocking, I'll be sure to let them in.
Peace.
