rae is the electronic music moniker for award-winning songwriter Robin Anne Ettles.

The rae record, entitled social latin line dancing, is dubbed ‘techno-lounge' while it spans a number of subsets in this realm. Regardless of the electronic nature of the record, the human element and live instrument tracks are key to its overall sound. Some of songs feature soundscapes recorded on-site in the places where the songs were composed.

Originally from Edmonton, AB, Robin has been making music professionally in New Brunswick since 1997. Recent accolades include Honourable Mention at the 2008 Billboard International Songwriting Competition and a top 100 break on the Canadian Adult Contemporary radio charts with ‘Run', written by Peter Post in honour of the late Sean Collins, performed by Big Whale and produced by Robin. Short film ‘La Voisine' (Productions Phare-Est), directed by Pamela Gallant and scored by Robin, won Best Atlantic Short at the 2007 Atlantic Film Festival. With CinImage Productions, Robin has scored over 30 television shows and the feature-length documentary ‘Je te cherche Marie' (On the Road with Mary), co-produced by the National Film Board of Canada.
