might. is new. Dorian Scheidt has made music before, but might. is new. And that is a good thing, right? With a new city and new life, one deserves new sounds as well.

Dorian used to rock out on Calgary stages with a plethora of legitimate (and some not so legitimate) musical groups. Most notably, the six piece indie rock noise collective Committee of Public Safety. Bar crowds, the all ages scene, and several local music magazines praised their performances and recordings, and their popularity was quite clearly on the rise.
However, Calgary wasn't quite the correct environment for encouraging such... art, and the band planned to relocate to Montréal.
Sadly, acceptance letters (or lack there of) got in the way.

might. is what Dorian is doing in his McGill dorm while he waits for his friends. Though technically a solo project, you wouldn't guess so on first listen. Dorian creates complex, layered, and intensely personal songs with a musical palette similar to that of a 5 piece band. His unique voice that was becoming clear with the Committee has only gotten stronger, and with a handful of EP's documenting the continual process of growing up, Dorian just might.
