The Ottawa-based instrumental rock trio Weights & Measures were formed in the winter of 1998. These hotheaded individuals have long been fixtures in the Eastern Ontario musical community: Gara and Khan both dutifully provide silky melodies to Kepler while also performing as the occassional rhythm section for Snailhouse (with Michael Feuerstack of the Wooden Stars).
Since the release of the debut last year, constant touring, and the persisent desire to up the ante on their band mates, Weights & Measures have earned a reputation as a force to be reckoned with on stage.
Musically, they continue to provide profound statements on the condition of rock ‘n roll in song titles such as “A Most Efficient Method of Removing the Pants”, “The Weekend Is for Making Babies” and “Yes as in Meaning No”.
