Originally from Vancouver, Misty Reid moved to Toronto and started up a self-titled band “Misty” with multi-instrumentalist Juice in 1999. When their band started to change faces they called up Chad, Misty’s twin brother back in Vancouver to come out and join. The exciting new dynamic brought on a new name: The Yoko Casionos. After making quite an impression in Toronto opening for such influential bands as Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, By Divine Right, The Warlocks, and The Flashing Lights, the Yokos sought a new environment. So, they packed up their gear and headed for the west coast.
Within the confines of their rehearsal space, The Yokos have been writing incessantly and recording demos. They have accumulated an impressive repertoire of pop songs as diverse as their personalities.
