The Silver Hearts formed in January of 2000 and have steadily gained momentum, and members, ever since. They are often lumped into country and folk music categories but are more accurately playing mainly original western roots music with edges of blues, bluegrass, tin-pan-alley jazz and rock. They will be featured in Mariposa Folk Festival, Mariposa in the City, Ottawa Blues Fest and Canadian Music week this year to name but a few.
