The Dreadful Starlings bring to you powerful new age music with a hint
of nostalgia and an element of substantiality. Not unlike the bird they
are named after, the music can be considered vicious and relentless, or
remarkably beautiful.
Through much evolution, the group became what they are today. What
started as a young, hip power-rock trio cover band bloomed into
something new with many hours spent preparing an enormous repertoire.
Finally, the addition of the fourth member brought forth a brand new
name, brand new songs, and much inspiration.
Soon the gigs were plentiful, and The Starlings played such places as
The Drake, Zona's, and the Gasthaus in Canmore and the Louis Trono
Gazebo in Banff, to name a few.
Recently Relocated to Toronto, The Dreadful Starlings have begun to dabble in the scene with gigs at Rancho Relaxo, Smiling Buddha Bar and El Mocambo.
This band plays original music, composed and arranged collectively,
guaranteed to please.
