Tiki Brothers

Vancouver, BC

James Tiki Graham formed the Tiki Brothers in Venice California in 1997. They began as a rare groove outfit utilizing the Hammond Organ, Fender Rhodes, and Moog Synthesizers Tiki had kicking around his studio. This resulted in the critically praised and highly successful E.P. 'Funk Brothers'. The band later moved north to Tiki Graham's home, Vancouver British Columbia. Ready to unleash their musical alchemy on Canadian listeners, the Tikis were sidetracked and travelled to London England where they recorded the soundtrack for the film 'Ladies Night.' With the prospect of fame looming, the Tiki Brothers cheerfully returned to Vancouver and began recording their self-titled album. The result was an astounding session that displays their distinctive sound, a rearrangement and rebirth of Soul and Funk that trancends generations. And so it was that Brother James Tiki brought the funk to the people.
