Ottawa, ON
http://radio3.cbc.ca/artists/THE-COBRAS
Formed in the summer of 2000, The Cobras felt that Ottawa needed rock 'n' roll representation and that they were the boys for the job. On a mission to introduce driving, alcohol-fueled rock 'n' roll and a dynamic stage presence, they played their first show after only a few practices and recorded their "Aces High" CDEP shortly thereafter. These boys in black leather have made their mark on the Ottawa music scene, be it love, hate, or complete confusion, The Cobras always leave a buzz in their wake. Comparisons have been made by fans, radio, DJ's, etc. that include The Sex Pistols, The Dead Boys, The Black Halos, The Ramones, blah, blah, blah. Pick up a CD or check out a show and form your own opinion.
