Today the spirit of the Goat remains intact. Still in abundance are the quirky lyrical and vocal stylings, held together with an array of hooks and a penchant to rock.
Their first year recording together saw the release of a sprawling double-sided cassette, entitled September is Salami Month, described by many of those lucky enough to have heard this rarity as, "the soundtrack to the apocaplypse".
A year after that came Enter the Goat which spawned such hits as Helicopter, Trippy Paradise, Downtown, and Rattlesnake and, despite being still a 4-track recording, marked a developement from the outright shambles of their first release.
1998 saw Hello Goat, intended to be the band's 3rd release, getting shelved. It featured tracks like Full Moon, a dreamy ballad, Sexy Needle, a trippy love song, and Sex Change woman, a rocker that told the tale of a sex changed duo on a seedy talk show finding love again after a messy breakup.
