Susan B. Anderson

Susan B. Anderson keeps it simple. She’s either singing about that which she knows or asking questions about that which she longs to understand. Her life tree is rooted in the Canadian prairies and though she has always been a bit of gypsy her extended family is the water she drinks when all other wells have run dry. Susan's path towards songwriting could be explained by everything from a big prairie sky to a grandmother who rocked dozens of babies to sleep with her special brand of humming; from a poet mother to a father who sang his heart out in a church choir, and certainly by all the teachers along the way who encourage her love of creative writing. Today she writes all kinds of things and lives in Toronto with her beautiful daughters and their dad Jamie Musselwhite. Besides being her best friend Jamie is the one who takes all her songs and makes them worth listening to.
