Rob's primary interests have never stayed primary for very long. The Stage, The Guitar, Education, Poetry, Youth Instruction... all taking their turns at being the primary focuses depending almost entirely on which way the wind was blowing.

In 2007, he bought himself a Boss Micro BR... which is essentially a digital 4 track recorder with some virtual tracks, and a bunch of swanky effects. He also bought himself a brand new travel sized acoustic guitar that buzzed all over the place and never stayed in tune.

Suddenly he had recorded covers of his favourite Pink Floyd tracks, Rolling Stones numbers, Bob Seger tunes, and Stevie Ray Vaughan licks. From Russell Crowe, to Otis Redding, to Matchbox 20... he just played the tunes because he felt like they would be fun to play.

He's slowly getting his off-centre blues/rock down onto some kind of digital media... So now you can suffer through it, just like all his friends and family who he sits down and forces to listen to his music!

... most of the time the songs just first takes that he couldn't be bothered to go back and edit. He'd already moved on to a new idea in his head... So pardon the wrong notes, or funny chord flubs. He's just trying to put the "crazy" in his head into some kind of ordered pattern of strings and frets.
