Raccoon's songs take shape in the mind of Dillon Whitfield as sparse and simple folk numbers, defined by a memorable melody. This leaves room for the influences of all 5 members (which fall into a vast expanse somewhere between Fleetwood Mac and Neutral Milk Hotel) to imbue the songs with anything from horns or accordion, to gang-percussion and symphonic walls of feedback and synthesizers.
This openness towards diversity translates to the stage as well, where 6 foot inflatable animals, synchronized jumping, or woodland slideshows are not uncommon, or out of place.

We're a slow moving band. To an almost glacial degree. Nonetheless, there are three new songs up, and we're recording an album. -Dillon
