My first memories of performing are before an imaginary audience, with my broom handle microphone. I was probably 6 years old.
My best moment as a performer would have to be at a vocal recital where I had the opportunity to sing one of my own songs to an audience who did not know me. It felt AMAZING!!
My worst moment as a performer was in my Grade 7 production of 'Oliver'. I played the part of Nancy, and during one musical number my skirt fell down in front of the entire audience! Of course at the time I was mortified, but I don't think it would faze me now.
I have wanted to pursue a vocal career since I can remember. Unfortunately my parents decided that it would be a fruitless endeavor. I decided differently, and took up vocal lessons as an adult. As I've gotten older, and have gained some life experience, I have come to realize that it is my time to follow my dreams and make this happen!!
Performing in front of an audience can be nerve racking, but gives my voice a lovely vibrato. Nothing feels better than when the audience says "WOW" after I've sung, or someone tells me that my music gave them goose bumps!!
Enclosed are some of my original works. I hope you enjoy them!!
Barbra Streisand, Carly Simon, Gordon Lightfoot, Heather Katz, Peter J Slack
