Pete Trower

Vancouver, BC

Peter Trower has published 11 volumes of poetry and 3 novels. He has appeared on CBC television and radio, toured the province with the “Caulk Boots and Marlin Spikes” variety show, given countless readings at myriad venues, and spent some time fronting the blues-rock band “Industrial Accident” in the early 1980’s. Simon Fraser University recently purchased his archives for their reference library, and he continues to turn out new work even as you read this. In the fall of 2002 Pete received the BC Gas Lifetime Achievement Award, for which a commemorative plaque was laid at Library Square in downtown Vancouver. Pete now divides his time between writing and traveling with his partner, historian Yvonne Klan. This CD compiles some of his best known and loved poems, along with some unknown and new selections. We hope you enjoy listening!
