"If David Lynch had directed 'O Brother Where Art Thou?,' Nathan's music would be the soundtrack"
- Michael Wrycraft, CBC Radio
Recently signed with NETTWERK RECORDS worldwide, and working on their sophomore album to be released in the spring of 2004, Nathan continues their whirlwind musical adventure. Since the release of their debut album "Stranger" in 2001, this genial band of Winnipeg misfits picked up a PRAIRIE MUSIC AWARD for Outstanding Independent Album, were the prairie region pick for CBC Radio's THE BIG BREAK, and band leader Keri McTighe picked up the Manitoba prize in the Standard Radio NATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION. Other highlights include a live performance and interview on Much Music's Going Coastal, nationally broadcast CBC Newsworld Television program >PLAY!, and a commission to arrange and record the music for a CBC television documentary on COUNTRY CANADA which was aired nationally in December 2002. All this while maintaining their undercover identities in nursing, teaching and designing.
Highlights to come: A new album produced by John Switzer to be released in May 2004, confirmed showcases at CMW (Nettwerk Records Showcase), SXSW in Austin, TX, Edmonton Folk Festival, Calgary Folk Festival, Hillside Festival and Vancouver Island MusicFest, and Roots on the Rails 2004 with Fred Eaglesmith.
