Toronto-based Mellonova further the development of their "sonically charged, psychedelically infused" sound with this new self-titled EP. Although they share many of the drone and space elements found in the contemporary "Toronto sound," Mellonova forge inexorably forward with one foot firmly planted in traditional rock structures, The result is a record that is very modern and fresh sounding from a band that evidently has a very strong sense of direction.
