MD, known as Mark Adams, is a budding electronica
artist from fogo island, Newfoundland. His works with digital sound and
dance music technology has resulted in his debut album “Remnants (on
the 909)”. Released in 2006, the album’s been perceived as an
electronic storybook, taking elements from many genres like hip-hop,
ambient, techno and new age.
MD has released a new record for 2007, entitled “Supply”. The album
features a mixture of danceable and ambient electronica with a mix of
New Age elements and overall atmosphere. The album is regarded as MD’s
most artistic endeavor and made a significant departure from the sounds
of his debut record. The First single from the album was a double
feature of the title track and the song “Bountiful”.
On Feb 9th, 2008, MD released “Rewind the 909 EP”, featuring 4 b-sides
and 2 remixes from the remnants sessions.
On February 24th, 2009, MD is
expected to release his third studio LP, entitled “VERB”. This album
has been described as a “Mix-tape of pop-electronic elements”. The lead
single is “We’re All Alone”.
