Pop As Fuck!

Library Voices are a pop band from Regina, Sk. In the eight weeks since their formation the group has recorded a 3 song demo, a 6 song EP entitled “Hunting Ghosts (And Other Collected Shorts)” to be released in July 08, and secured a handful of summer dates including Sled Island Festival (Jose Gonzalez, Mogwai, Of Montreal), Gateway Festival, and The Regina Folk Festival (Broken Social Scene, Weakerthans, Final Fantasy). In addition the band will be on tour throughout western Canada in August in support of the release.

Library Voices songwriting objective is to craft mature and infectious pop songs, with an emphasis on melody and complex vocal harmonies. The richness of six vocalists is accompanied by acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums and miscellaneous percussion, accordion, organs, medodion/melodica, glockenspiel, various synthesizers (ranging from vintage analog synths to hand crafted circuit bent keyboards), pianos, ebow, cello, and horns.

Their sound bridges your parents The Kinks & Roy Orbison albums with your big sisters Fleetwood Mac & Talking Heads cassettes and your weird older cousins Violent Femmes & Magnetic Fields CDs.
