Kuroda are a progressive psychedelic groove trio from Corner Brook, Newfoundland. "Staggering" wouldn't even begin to describe the startling array of sounds and styles they encompass. From eerie atmospheric soundscapes to lightning-paced "math-jazz" to scorching blues-based rock, Kuroda are less of a band then they are a sonic odyssey through the warped minds of three disparate yet cohesive musicians.
Too emotive and electrifying to be corralled into mere prog rock, the band nonetheless brings an aura of edgy, experimental unpredictability to their music. With their irresistible melodies and turn-on-a-dime dynamics, this eclectic trio have proven themselves to be one of the most unique, talented and challenging bands around.
