In an age where popular music is formulated and genre-specific, the artist known as "JIMMY" writes songs that lodge in that soft spot of your brain and stay there, leaving you no choice but to sing along.
Hailing from Canada's "City of Champions", Edmonton, Jimmy is already a fixture in the Edmonton music scene, having supported and played with several local bands. A member of well known local group WELCOME, he has enjoyed road experience few independent Canadian musicians can boast of, having opened for Canadian biggies Big Sugar, The Headstones, 54-40, Colin James, The Odds, Matthew Good Band and others.
The songs from the debut JIMMY blend a mixture of groove, high energy roots rock and delicate acoustic textures…well. His peers attempt to define the style as "funky groove rock", "Paul Simonesque acoustic melodies", and "Beatles-ish pop sensibilities". Jimmy would have you simply call it "JIMMY MUSIC", but you can decide for yourself.
