GENERAL Neither techno nor metal, Sanchez and Olix combine man and machine, creating a musical theatre plunged in darkness that shines a strong glimmer of hope. The band progresses in a technological universe by mixing techno beats and industrial themes with the caustic power of raw electric guitar frequencies. The samples come from jam sessions with guest musicians recorded during various trips around Europe, Asia and North America. The very melodic or no-compromise aggressive vocal arrangements set the music color of Insurgent Inc. Album: A DANCE LINE ON A DEAD FLOOR IN THE LITTLE SHED Recordings from the INSURGENT'S office at N12 media, basic tracks came out directly from jams with Olix and Luis. Intense, raw and first draft energy is the core of the shed. This album is dance floor oriented inside a metal-rock-electro-industrial genre. Lyrics are interlaced themes about contrary emotions, technologies, hypocrisies, family secrets and voluntary split personality. This album is about what kids live through and how they see the world of adults, in all its tortuous ways. MEMBERS: Luis-Alberto Sanchez: Vocals / Guitars / Computer Luis was born on Halloween. Declared clinically dead at the age of thirteen, He was transformed to a dark, strange and deep introverted character. After a couple of years of mental reorganization and physiological effort, he learned how to walk and smile again. Olivier Forest (aka Olix): Percussions / drums / loops Versatile, he works as a producer, musician and clown for various conceptual shows starring dancers and acrobats. Their live experience gave them the chance to travel and work in various conditions, in smaller and bigger venues, and in international festivals (more than 50 000 people). From coast to coast, both musicians constantly perform and record new material. No matter what! And now, Mathieu Gagnon: Bass Mat has been playing bass since the age of fourteen. While playing in a heavy metal band, Mat studied music at University of Montreal. On stage, the trio hires a machine performer creating live FX, and working with sequences.
