Legendary power pop band from Vancouver, signed to Zulu records in the mid 80's they released a self titled EP, a 12 song album Six Friends, then tragically all died in a fiery blaze at major label recording contract ceremony in the UK when they doused themselves in lighter fluid to protest the New Romantic movement.
Their ashes however were whisked off to Switzerland where after many years some DNA strands were plucked out and Steve and Roxanne, or pods that sort of look like them, were recreated to form Thrill Squad. Thrill Squad signed a really bad record deal in the UK with Lowspeak and sold 1 record, with 2 promo copies being returned, so their net sales in the UK are sitting at -1. They were so despondent they doused themselves with lighter fluid one more time.
The third generation is now better known as The Irises (www.theirises.com).
