Hot off the heels of the Brothers and Sisters, Alone We Explode tour, Femme Generation enlisted a new drummer and hunkered down to work on a handful of new songs. The Future Called, They Want Their Sound Back marks an expansion to the group's signature sound while displaying a renewed focus on the raw energy central to Femme Generation. Co-produced by Dave MacKinnon (The Fembots), this 5 song EP will be available for download as a companion to a 7'' vinyl pressing. The vinyl release will include the title track as an A side, Orlando Boom on the B side plus a remix the Remix Artist Collective (Bloc Party, The Shins, CSS).

Femme Generation’s first full-length album Brothers and Sisters, Alone We Explode was produced in the summer of 2005 and officially released in February of 2006 on Permafrost Records. Produced by Dave MacKinnon, it was recorded in a barn in rural Southern Ontario and mixed at Chemical Sound in Toronto. Brothers and Sisters, Alone We Explode topped many Canadian and American college radio charts and quickly became a favorite among pod casters.

2004 saw the release of Femme Generation’s debut EP Circle Gets The Square. With compositions that are as visceral as they are cerebral, it dazzled both fans and music critics, earning it a spot on NOW Magazine’s Top 10 albums of 2004.
