Since 2001, Fleshcraft have been one of the most intense, brutal extreme metal forces established in Northern Ontario. Combining the most sinister elements of black/ death metal with a hint of heavy thrash and melodicism, the bands unique sound almost seperates them from even having a genre labelled style.
From their catchy hooks and dark lyrics, to their never ending live energy, Fleshcraft have established a truly dedicated fanbase within their community. They have been banned already from some venues, due to crowds reactions to the music and energy coming from the stage.
A very rushed, cheap demo was released by the band on devils night 2002. Entitled Deadline Release because of its rush for the release date, it contains five songs and an intro which displays in raw form the bands sound. Now this demo has been re-released in 2004 with a cover and sounds a bit better as well. Although their sound has intensified and developed consiberably, their intent was recorded.
Since their demo release, Fleshcraft have aquired a more dark, matured extreme sound. Songs are more intense and catchy, with more focus on composition and ferocity. Plans for a 2005 release are currently underway, as the band are in the recording process for their second demo, followed by a full length.
