At 19-years old, Daniel Moir is a force to be reckoned with. In just a short time, the young singer/songwriter has already accomplished feats that take many a lifetime to achieve. Composing music from the tender age of four years old, Daniel has since become an accomplished player on the Guitar, Piano, Drums, Banjo, Bass Guitar and Harmonica. Drawing inspiration from personal insight and life experience that varies from a rocky childhood to vagabonding through Europe, Daniel has created a unique blend of folk music that shines wisdom far beyond his years.Before pursuing a solo career, Daniel honed his performance skills singing, playing and recording with various local Bands. Daniel’s music was soon noticed by Vancouver Producer Tom Dobrzanski, who invited Daniel to his Vancouver studio to work on his debut solo EP, “the Country and the Sea”. Over the course of three weeks, Daniel and Tom worked together to create the critically acclaimed album, which charted on radio across Canada and lead to the development of a devoted fan base.Daniel was soon to be picked up by U22 music producer Rhea March, who provides credible performance opportunities and mentorship for young artists. After several Canadian tours and performances at various festivals, including playing for est. 15,000 at the Edmonton International Folk Festival, it is safe to say that the future is bright for Daniel Moir.As well as being a musician, Daniel is also an accomplished painter, a dedicated meditator and nature-enthusiast.
