Broadcast Zero

Kitchener/Waterloo/London, ON

Broadcast Zero is a four-piece punk rock band from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Since 2007, they have played over 200 high-energy shows on three tours  across Canada and the United States, released 2 full length albums, and drank a lot of beer, ranging from cheap domestic to premium import.

“Some concerns regarding this revolt” is the band's second full-length album, being released on Stumble Records, and is a follow up to 2008's “Yesterday, you could change the world” (Rebel Time Records). “Some concerns” takes on a theme of deconstruction, raising questions of personal accountability and participation, and stressing the importance of looking in the mirror before pointing fingers – all set to  melodic and upbeat punk rock sing-alongs. To promote the new album, summer 2010 saw the band hitting the road on their third self-booked tour, once again crossing the great Canadian landscape and for the first time venturing into the west coast of the U.S.A., hitting such fine cities as Seattle, WA, Oakland, CA, and Las Vegas, NV. Official home-town CD release shows are planned for the fall, and the band will continue to make the rounds throughout Ontario and Quebec to wrap up the year. Never happy to sit still, plans are already in the works for an EP in spring / summer 2011.

In practical terms, Broadcast Zero is a multi-faceted project, akin to the multi-headed Hydra of ancient lore – however somewhat less supernatural, and …
