I live in the beautiful province of British Columbia. I was born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario.
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I used to drive my mother crazy because as a very tiny child, I used to sing the same words over and over again. She would tell me that I reminded her of a broken record.
I tried almost every instrument in school, but the only ones that really interested me were the drums, the sax, and the guitar. The problem was that in those days, those instruments were considered only for boys. My teacher told me that if I wanted to play guitar, I would have to do it out in the hallway by myself.....which I did! haha
Then I tried taking a few guitar lessons when I was 12 or 13, but found that boys were just much more important at the time.
I didn't pick up a guitar again until I was 21. I borrowed an old guitar that only had 5 strings on it and taught myself how to play.
I have been singing and playing guitar ever since, although I don't consider myself a very talented guitar player. :(
I now lead worship once a month for my church. I sing at Christian festivals whenever possible, however there are not many happening in my neck of the woods. :( I am hoping to get much more involved in the music field if God so desires this for me.
I have just started recording my first CD. I'm very excited about that and will let everyone know when it is available.
