Sell out crowds, screaming girls, the party never ends…behind the scenes you have a band with its feet firmly planted & a well thought out plan of attack. Hard to believe that five 21/22 year old guys could come together & have the work ethic to produce songs that have the maturity of bands that have played together for years. 2003 shows have BushLeague opening for Theory of a Deadman at the University of B.C., sold out Halloween show for the UCOFV & a sold out “Riot” show at Richards on Richards, one of the premier clubs in Vancouver. A successful road trip through B.C. & Alberta this past summer reinforced their desire to succeed in this business.
Lead singer Luke’s natural performing abilities great sultry/screaming rock voice set the stage for an energetic & popular live show. His lyrical mania blends well with Cole’s cool & complicated guitar sounds. Bass player Mikes manic, slightly funky/punked out rock sound fits like a glove with drummer Jay’s powerful energetic beats. Add to this guitarist Derek’s harmonies & in it for the music attitude, you have a force not to be reckoned with. The boys have learned to duke it out & will not settle for OK…it has to be well above to meet their individual standards.
BushLeague is in the studio with major producer Roger Swan & are set to record their first full album. Energy is at a peak & all the indicators are set for this group to spring from the gate, as they are preparing for a Western Canadian Tour in July 04.
