Four of Vancouver's most talented musicians have joined forces to form Bottleneck, an alt.country group whose popularity is spreading like prairie fire. On Bottleneck's self-titled debut CD, Scott Smtih and Robyn Carrigan trade lead vocals and harmonize in the timeless tradition of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. Their tales of romance, sex, heartbreak, and prison are underscored by touches of pedal steel, dobro, banjo, and slide guitar. Bottleneck's debut cd was produced by Chon (Radiogram's "Unbetween") and also features two-time Juno nominee Jesse Zubot on violin and mandolin. This is great music folks.
