Bloemfontein is from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. They are an improvisational space-rock band. Influences come streaming across the border from the Detroit space rock scene, not to mention Spiritualized, Spacemen 3, Yo La Tengo, Angelo Badalamenti, Bardo Pond, etc.
Bloemfontein has members attending school in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New York City. They plan on finishing school, recording a follow-up to 2002's The Longer Now, and a possible tour.
