Alex Andrew is an up and coming
singer/songwriter from Vancouver, B.C. From a young age, Alex found a
home in music. Beginning by playing the piano, his passion evolved into
the playing of a variety of instruments including the drums, vocals,
guitar, bass guitar, harmonica, trumpet, and the piano itself. Early on
in his life, he played the drums in a four-piece band by the name of
The Dazed. The band became locally popular with its catchy Classic
Rock/Blues/Funk style, but Alex found he was always missing something.
Alex had always had continuous
thoughts of writing his own music on guitar, and when the band broke up
in 2006, he then decided to focus his musical career on his own style,
influenced by the music of City and Colour, The Spill Canvas, Pilate,
Matthew Good, and Brand New. Alex has steadily gained notice, creating
more and more music and connecting to more and more people each day.
His brutally honest lyrics spill out
from the soul of a young man and his experiences in love, sex, and
friendship. From the most arrogant of days to the most insecure, the
highest of highs to the most pathetic lows, the sting of faithlessness
to the leaving of loyalty, it's easy to find something in his music to
relate to. Today, Alex continues writing and recording as an
independent artist, working towards making a career out of his passion.
