Oh, the roads we've travelled, and oh, the breakfasts we've had on the Hear Some Evil Tour across western Canada. On this week's Breakfast Club, you'll hear about our breakfasts in Penticton and Nelson, BC and a bit from our stop in Banff, AB.
In Penticton we stayed with the lovely Julie and Paul and I awoke to find breakfast served up by Wax and Mathias. A home-cooked meal made by people who don't actually live in this particular home. After eating and a shower, I emerged to discover Wax Mannequin bogarting the kitchen to make his new "Wax ManneCandles." It proved to be messy but fruitful; those candles are moving quickly.
In Nelson, we ate at the highly-recommended Full Circle Café, which was quite good. Chris and I discussed whether or not it's appropriate to wipe one's eggy knife with a napkin before applying pb & J to one's toast. Apparently this residue-ridding method prompts a spirited debate at his house.
Finally, we had a pretty weird gig at the Banff Alpine Centre where the staff are all awesome but the patrons all chomp. Drunk and yelly, all the time. All of them. Still, we had a nice breakfast at the hostel's in-house restaurant, Cougar Pete's. You'll hear all about this by tuning in today.
How do you wipe down your butter knife in between surface-to-toast applications for breakfast? Are you Cougar Pete? What are YOU having for breakfast today?
