Morning everyone. My coverage of our super amazingly fun and fulfilling Hear Some Evil Tour wraps up today over the course of a few somewhat traumatizing breakfasts between Alberta and home.
For the first time ever, a server has frantically refused to be on the Breakfast Club. It all went down at the Hi Restaurant & Pub in Lethbridge, AB and it taught me a valuable lesson about journalism, which I don't plan to access until I'm in my mid to late-50s. Then our trusty '92 Honda Accord finally showed signs of defeat outside of Calgary, when the engine light came on. We were on our way to Regina, SK but stopped at a Smitty's in Strathmore for a bite to eat and a moment to hope that this old car would get us where we needed to go. Sure enough, it did, though the light never went out, prompting some amazing amateur mechanic talk between Wax Mannequin and I. After Mathias packed up the Burning Hell in Winnipeg for a European tour, Chris and I were left alone to make the long drives to our Ontario shows. Luckily I ran into some frienndly faces in You Say Party! We Say Die! who were playing Sault St. Marie the same night as us. I asked Stephen and Devon how breakfast on the road was treating them, just a few hours before I drove Wax and I back to Guelph overnight...
You'll hear all about it on today's show. Thanks for listening; I hope you've enjoyed my road reporting.
Have you learned anything useful about western Canada or its breakfast options on my show over the past couple of weeks? What are YOU having for breakfast?
