Good day everyone. Man, it's been a topsy-turvy week on the Wrath of Khanna. Two National Hum shows in a row! Well, at least I've chosen Remorsecapade by Woodhands for my Album of the Week feature and everything is back to normal again. Or is it?!
It pretty much is; you can relax. Except that I do wanna talk a bit about the Wavelength 500 10th Anniversary Festival going on in Toronto this week. First, Woodhands. They're our X3 Artist of the Month and, after seeing them again at Hillside Inside, they remain one of the most explosive bands to get personal, direct straight, and bring it forward--in your face! The sweat and angst is all over Remorsecapade, which is a deep, dark album by two fun-loving guys. I had the good fortune of catching up with Dan and Paul at Hillside Inside to discuss their new record. In a bathroom. Yeah, we did our interview in a one-person bathroom and you'll be able to hear it today. Check out those acoustics...

Right, so the other big news is Wavelength 500. As you may have heard elsewhere or on this show before, WL has been a totally crucial weekly music series in Toronto, where many of today's best, young Canadian bands played their most important (and fun) shows in the Big Smoke. It's also been a model/inspiration for Pay-What-You-Can/Do-it-Yourself music communities around the country. And it's 10 years old and putting on a festival to celebrate its 500th show this week. A lot of great bands are playing so, if you can make it there, I hope you go. I am.
Have you heard the new Woodhands album Remorsecapde? Are you a fan? Are you attending/do you wish you could attend any of Wavelength 500? Old or new, Canadian or otherwise, what is YOUR album of the week?
