The votes have been counted and the time has come to finally reveal the winners of the CBC Radio 3 Bucky Awards, honouring the best Canadian music of 2009!
Back in October we asked CBC Radio 3 listeners to nominate their favourite Canadian independent music. Listeners voted on first a short list and then a long list with final voting ending midnight, November 29th.
After locking themselves away for many hours – armed only with calculators, coffee and the office abacus – Radio 3 staffers counted thousands and thousands of listener votes. The winners were announced today on a special live broadcast of Grant Lawrence Live (Mon-Fri: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. PT on cbcradio3.com/Sirius 86).
We’ve decided to spread the love over two days, so check cbcradio3.com tomorrow at 10 a.m. PT to find out the winners of the Video Buckys for Best Video, Sexiest Musician and Best Off-Stage Performance!
