[Today's show originally aired on November 4th]
Each year Canadian Grade 9 students enjoy a day off of school for Take Our Kids To Work Day. And this year my own son Noah Sawchuk is joining us here at CBC Radio 3.
So far he’s talked about his morning routine on Tariq’s Basement Studio and reviewed a kid’s music book for Grant Lawrence Live. And now it’s off to write the rest of this blog post and co-host my show. Ha, he thought he was getting the day off!
Thanks mom.
So far, I’ve learned that my mom’s job is a lot trickier than I had thought.
The way she made it sound was that all she did was sit around, listen to music, go out for lunch, maybe chit-chat on the radio for a bit, nothing too big.
But now, I can tell it’s a lot more than that.
One, you have to think A LOT.
Two, being live on the air can be pretty pressuring for someone that’s never been on the radio.
And three, it's much more than just sitting around listening to music.
But at least I enjoyed my own cubicle and the coffee break and making fun of the bossman (just kidding).
