Ah, the humble door. A simple device that keeps civilization itself chugging along. When used properly, it keeps our stuff safe from ne'er-do-wells, allows us privacy in the bathroom, serves to add drama to practically any situation with a nice solid slam, and of course is heavily weighted with loads of symbolic... er... "symbolry" as the dumb guy who used to sit behind me in English Lit 101 used to say.
With this in mind, please enjoy this week's Picture Show, A Perception of Doors, a selection of doors uploaded to our Flickr group. It's set to a track by Calgary's extra happy ghost called "mash-up: neither being nor nothingness".

[Next week's theme is "Sign Language", an exploration of communication
through the use of displayed words and or symbols. If you'd like us to
use your photos, please join our Flickr group. The ideal size is at
least 1280 X 720]
