Tokyo Police Club Designs Converse For Charity

Posted by Jennifer Van Evra on Jan 12, 2009
Tokyo Police Club is best known for its eclectic rock - but now the band members can add "running shoe designers" to their resumes.

Through its 1HUND(RED) campaign, Converse is getting favourite artists including Bonde do Role, Matt & Kim and more to design sneakers - and 10 percent of the proceeds from the sale goes to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Tokyo Police Club's lightly textured design of the classic black sneaker - inspired in part by the Hubble telescope - has been available in select stores for the last little while, but now you can pick up a pair on the Converse website.

Want a little slice of TPC underfoot? You can order them here.
