Neil Young Hits A "Fork In The Road" In Funny New Video

Posted by Jennifer Van Evra on Jan 13, 2009

Canadian rock icon Neil Young has been thinking about driving a lot these days.

Last year, he started his own electric car company.

Then he hit the road, playing major venues all around North America.

So it's no wonder that he's releasing videos for songs with titles like "Fork In The Road."

Wearing headphones that are plugged into an apple (har, har), and backed by roadhouse blues guitar and drums, Young sings about everything from the war in Iraq ("Salute the troops. They're all still there in a f*ckin' war. It's no good") to the economic collapse ("I got hope. But you can't eat hope") to the ensuing corporate bailouts ("There's a bailout comin' but it's not for you. It's for all of those creeps hidin' what they do").

Young is currently on tour in New Zealand and Australia (you can find all of the dates here), and in the video, he also expresses his appreciation for his diehard fans: "I'm a big rock star. And my sales have tanked," he sings. "But I've still got you. Thanks."
