It's
Friday. It's not like I thought you didn't know. Think of it more as one of
those screams or howls, the ones that come after goals in end zones or on
tennis courts... create your own victorious sports moment here.
I
wouldn't ordinarily discuss athletics since I'm not an active person and really
only have an interest in sports when it looks like
this winning golfer that I first
saw last weekend on television. But I do admire those who do the participaction
thing - really, I do. And most especially when their feats of athleticism come
with a fine social cause.
During
the
VIFF I was treated to a 3,000 km canoing journey from
Winnipeg,
Manitoba to
Perry
Sound, Ontario in
Borelais. While watching this
adventure I learned about the Boreal forest and got to hear a lot of music from
the Vancouver
electro artist
Phontaine. Fittingly this song is called
"Paradise".
