Montreal Musician performs in North America's oldest porno theatre tonight, Oct. 2

Pop Montreal has arrived and with that there are many amazing shows to see if you are in the Montreal area.

For instance, Li'l Andy & Karaoke Cowboy are playing tonight at a quaint place called Cinema L'Amour - the city's only "Yiddish-theatre-turned-porn-palace", established in 1914.

Li'l Andy will be performing with Ideal Lovers, bringing their interpretation of Neil Young's album Tonight's the Night to the legendary erotic movie theatre. When Li'l Andy was young, he bought a used cassette of Tonight's the Night for a charming $5.99. Quickly learning all the songs, he vowed to one day put on a show where he'd perform the entire album from beginning to end. This is a "pre-teen dream come true" says Li'l Andy.

So check out some of Pop Montreal's finest musicians and legendary venues, such as our sponsored event with Wintersleep, Bonjour Brumaire, and The Buttless Chaps.

To hear about some other hot events, tune in today at 4pm, when Lisa Christiansen talks to Tariq Hussain, who's in Montreal right now getting ready to hit the festivities.
