New Music Canada Track of the Day for May 1, 2008: Royal Wood "Juliet"

Posted by Lana Gay on May 01, 2008

Last week, after watching a shameful display of romance involving bad music I asked around for good examples of songs that would make you run back to the lover who wronged you (or well, just give you that tingly feeling).

One of the R3 producers, Marie, suggested Royal Wood's "Juliet". When she mentioned that she couldn't watch the video without tearing up, I knew I was in!

Who doesn't love a beautiful song with an equally meaningful video? Perhaps courtship needs to go back to being oldschool, you know, frolicking in fields and chatting while canoeing across a river. Drinks and movies just don't seem as romantic, then again, the whole old school romancing is difficult (as canoes and open fields are not always available).

I suppose the song isn't trying to provoke conversation about modern romance, but it is delightful nonetheless.

    really off topic ...

I was thinking about all the great, romantic, tear inducing songs, but what about all the horrible, cheesy, tears-of-anger inducing songs? The Deal Breakers?

Lady In Red or Another Day in Paradise anyone?
