I've been a big fan of Montreal's Land of Talk ever since I heard "Summer Special." Elizabeth Powell's gritty, sexy vocals with a wash of melodic guitars was the perfect mix for a great song, in my opinion. And I wasn't alone. Blogs across North American began writing about Land of Talk so much that they even gave them a second home town crowd - New York City.
But despite all the accolades, a new record and exciting touring plans coming up for the trio, all is not happy in Land of Talk land...as I found out today when Elizabeth stopped by here in Vancouver.
