Podcast #133 - Pardon My French

Posted by Grant Lawrence on Dec 07, 2007

It's for podcasts like these that I should have paid just a petite bit more attention to Mrs. D'Eath (real name) in French 10. Yes (Charles), there is a decidedly Francophone twist to the podcast this week, as we debut tres, tres, TRES TRES bon new Quebec tracks from Le Husky, Le Nombre, and Ghislain Poirier.

We'll also have the return of the Canadian Dictionary, this week featuring a decidedly defiant Quebecois definition courtesy of Montag. Also on the show, we'll spread it out a bit with new music from Cadence Weapon, F*cked Up, and Shad.

    Let the flaming begin, Charles...

I was hoping this week you might do a special homage to the (Legendary) Horseshoe's 60th anniversary.

I don't think Charles really looks at this web site. He has a calendar that lets him know every month or so he should show up and stir up some trouble. Then he goes to another website and does the same. Canada is a big country he can't have time to actually listen to music while he pushes his agenda.

    unCanadian!

How can you call this a Canadian Podcast when you choose to only promote Francophone artists? Even if speaking French was part of our culture, by acknowledging it, you have erased all other aspects to our mono-faceted culture, in one, deft and intentional wave of the podcast wand!

    Berets: are they sexy?

    Fur: is it sexy?
    Glasses: are they cool?

Next week on Grant Lawrence's podcast: beret's, are they sexy? what about baguettes? :)

    Wanna trade?

This is for the winging anti-Francophones -- please consider joining the campaign to get the US to trade Hawai'i for Quebec!

Think about it ... the Quebec Quois could keep the Texans in control, and so many of you Canadians spend so much time over here in the islands anyway. It just seems natural!

    (save us from the US!!)

    P. S. See my beach pic on the podcast (for more incentives) ....

... and ... Mahalo for the pinning, Grant ... you are welcome to couchsurf in Waimanalo anytime!

    Danse sur l'isle!!

    A message to all anti-Québécois

    F*ck You!

Je suis content que CBC radio 3 a préparé un podcast contenant quelques chansons francophones.

You are ONE of the reasons that the seperatist movement is so powerful.
